Adventure Guide Training: Jorn

Hi everyone,

I'm Jorn from the Netherlands and I am 23 years old. I finished my bachelor degree in the Netherlands, and wanted some more out of my life than a 8-5 office job. So I decided I wanted to come to Canada to do adventure guide training. I have been at the ranch for 7 weeks now, and a lot has happened in that time.
It's hard to believe it has been that long already. Time goes fast around here.

In the first couple of days it thought: "Wow, is this really what I want?" As it turns out, it is. I am so happy I chose this adventure. Guide training is challenging, but succeeding is awesome. When you set your mind to do it, everything becomes possible around here.  I didn't have any horse experience before I came here, but I got on it after a week. And now I am taking guests out to show them the mountain tops. That is what makes it all worth it. There are some stunning sights in our guiding territory. I like to be up there and enjoy the views, but having guests with you that enjoy it too makes it even better. With all the changes going on in the world, I am afraid what could happen to all the beautiful nature of our world. That's why I love to show others the beauty people have in their backyard, and am grateful that this adventure guide training course has enabled me to see some of the most incredible places on the earth.
